Car Maintenance & Glovebox

Terms of Use

Last updated: July 20, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Car Maintenance & Glovebox app for iPhone and iPad, published by TaskDorm LLC.

1. Agreement to these Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Car Maintenance & Glovebox, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the app.

If you use the app on behalf of another person or an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms for them.

2. Eligibility and lawful use

You may use Car Maintenance & Glovebox if you are able to form a binding agreement under the law that applies to you. The app is a general recordkeeping tool and is not directed to children under 13.

You agree to use the app in accordance with the laws that apply where you live and where you use it, and in accordance with Apple’s App Store terms.

3. What Car Maintenance & Glovebox is

Car Maintenance & Glovebox is an organizational and recordkeeping tool. You enter information about your vehicles — services, mileage, receipts, reminders, insurance details, registration, inspections, roadside membership, warranties, and documents — and the app stores that information, organizes it, reminds you about it, and lets you export it.

That description shapes most of what follows. The app is a structured place to keep information you already have. It is not an authority on your vehicle, your coverage, or your legal obligations.

4. The app does not provide professional advice

Car Maintenance & Glovebox does not provide mechanical, legal, insurance, tax, financial, emergency, inspection, registration, warranty, or other professional advice. Nothing the app displays should be treated as a professional opinion or as a recommendation about your particular circumstances.

For questions about your vehicle, consult your owner’s manual, your manufacturer’s published guidance, and a qualified mechanic or other qualified professional. For questions about coverage, obligations, or legal requirements, consult your insurer, the relevant authority, or a qualified adviser.

5. Your information, and your responsibility to verify it

Everything the app shows you is information that you, or someone using your device, entered or saved.

The app cannot determine whether the information you entered is accurate, complete, or current. A mistyped policy number, an expiration date that changed after you saved it, a service you did not log, or a mileage reading you last updated months ago will all be shown back to you exactly as you left them, without any indication that something is out of date.

Please review important information periodically, and particularly before you rely on it. Insurance details, registration and inspection expiration dates, roadside membership status, mileage, and warranty coverage all change over time, and the app has no means of learning about those changes.

You are responsible for the information you enter and the files you attach, including their accuracy and their lawful use.

6. Maintenance plans and intervals

The app includes built-in maintenance categories and suggested intervals as a convenience. These are editable starting points, not manufacturer recommendations.

They are not derived from your specific vehicle’s service schedule, and they do not account for your engine, driving conditions, climate, towing or load, fuel or oil type, or your manufacturer’s requirements. Your owner’s manual, your manufacturer’s published schedule, and a qualified mechanic are the authorities on what your vehicle needs and when.

You can adjust the intervals to match your vehicle, and the app will follow the values you set.

7. Reminders

Reminders are a convenience feature that depends on your device. The app does not guarantee that a reminder will be delivered.

A reminder may be delayed, silenced, or not appear at all. This can happen when notifications are turned off for the app or the device, when Focus or Do Not Disturb is active, when the device is powered off or out of battery, when notification permission has been declined, when the app has been deleted or reinstalled, when iOS limits the number of scheduled notifications, or when a restore has replaced your data.

Mileage-based reminders have a further limitation. The app cannot read your odometer. Distance-based reminders are evaluated against the mileage you last entered, so a reading that is out of date will produce a reminder that is out of date with it.

Please do not rely on this app as your only reminder for anything significant, including safety work, recall repairs, inspection deadlines, registration renewal, or insurance renewal. Keep a second method for those.

8. The app does not diagnose vehicles

Car Maintenance & Glovebox does not inspect, diagnose, or assess your vehicle. It has no connection to your vehicle, does not read diagnostic codes, and forms no opinion about your vehicle’s condition.

It is not a substitute for a qualified mechanic, a safety inspection, a recall notice, or your manufacturer’s guidance. Nothing in the app is a statement that your vehicle is safe, roadworthy, or in good repair.

9. Insurance, registration, inspection, and roadside information

This section covers the Glovebox and Accident Information features. The app stores what you save. It does not verify it.

  • The app does not verify that you have insurance, that a policy is active, or that a premium has been paid.

  • The app does not determine what your policy covers. Your policy documents and your insurer determine that.

  • The app does not determine whether a claim will be accepted, denied, or paid. Only your insurer can decide a claim.

  • The app does not determine warranty coverage or whether a particular repair is covered. Your warranty provider determines that.

  • The app does not confirm that a registration is valid, that an inspection is current, or that a roadside membership is active.

Saved copies may not satisfy official requirements. A photo or PDF of an insurance card, registration, or inspection certificate stored in this app is a convenience copy. It may not be accepted by a police officer, an inspection station, a border official, a rental counter, an insurer, or a court. Requirements differ by country, state or province, and situation, and many places require an original document or an officially issued digital document. Please keep your original documents and carry whatever your jurisdiction requires.

Where the app uses regional wording such as State Inspection, MOT Test, NCT Test, Warrant of Fitness, or Vehicle Inspection, it is naming the kind of record you are saving. The app has no connection to any government body, motor-vehicle authority, testing scheme, insurer, repair shop, or manufacturer system, and nothing in the app should be read as implying one.

10. Accident Information

The Accident Information screen presents information you have already saved so that you can find it quickly at a difficult moment. That is the entire function of the feature.

  • It displays only what you entered. If a field is blank, out of date, or incorrect, that is what it will show.

  • It does not contact anyone automatically. It does not call emergency services or police, does not notify your insurer, does not alert a roadside provider or repair shop, does not message an emergency contact, and does not notify any authority or government system.

  • Phone numbers shown there are ordinary tap-to-call links. A call is placed only when you tap one and confirm it through your device’s normal calling interface.

  • It does not upload anything, does not file a claim, does not create an accident report, and does not transmit your information anywhere.

  • It is not an emergency service and is not a safety feature.

In an emergency, contact emergency services directly. If someone is injured or there is danger, call your local emergency number first.

11. Reports, exports, backups, and restores

CSV files, PDF reports, resale packets, and backup files reflect the information you entered and nothing more. A resale packet is an organized presentation of your own records. It is not a certification, an inspection, a title check, a vehicle-history report from any third-party database, or a warranty, and it should not be presented to a buyer as one.

Backups are manual. The app creates a backup only when you ask it to, and saves it where you choose. It does not create backups on a schedule and does not copy your data to TaskDorm or to any cloud service operated by TaskDorm.

Restoring a backup replaces the data currently stored in the app rather than merging with it. The app explains this and asks you to confirm before the replacement takes place.

When you export or share a file, you select the destination through Apple’s system interface. Once the file has left the app, it is handled by the destination you selected.

Please keep independent copies of anything important. Devices are lost, damaged, and replaced, files are deleted, and a restore can fail. A recent backup stored somewhere other than the device itself is the most useful precaution. Original paper documents and officially issued digital documents should be retained as well, because this app holds a copy rather than a replacement.

12. Acceptable use

When you use Car Maintenance & Glovebox, you agree to the following.

  • Use the app for lawful personal vehicle recordkeeping.

  • Keep your device secure. Information saved in the app is available to anyone who can unlock your device, unless you enable App Lock.

  • Verify important information before relying on it.

  • Do not use exports to misrepresent a vehicle’s history to a buyer, an insurer, or anyone else. Exported records are your own entries, and presenting them as independently verified would be misleading.

  • Do not enter content you have no right to use, and do not use the app to store or distribute unlawful material.

  • Do not attempt to interfere with the app’s operation, circumvent its purchase or entitlement checks, or reverse engineer it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits you to do so.

  • Follow the law where you are, including any requirements about the documents you must carry.

13. Purchases

Car Maintenance & Glovebox is free to download and offers one optional one-time purchase, the Lifetime Unlock, which unlocks the full app. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, no free trial that converts into a payment, and no advertising.

Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit, under Apple’s terms. The app displays the applicable price for your App Store storefront at the time of purchase, in the currency and format provided by Apple.

Restore Purchases makes a previous purchase available again on devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Where Apple makes Family Sharing available for this purchase, it shares the app unlock with your family group. It does not share your vehicle records or documents.

Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s rules. TaskDorm cannot issue, approve, or deny App Store refunds. You may contact us at cartracker@taskdorm.com for technical help with the app or purchase restoration.

14. Availability and changes to the app

We may update the app to add, change, or remove features, to correct problems, or to maintain compatibility with iOS and iPadOS. Features may change over time.

We may also stop distributing or updating the app. Records already stored by an installed copy generally remain on that device unless the app or its data is removed, but continued access may depend on the device, the installed app version, and future iOS or iPadOS compatibility. The export and backup tools are provided so you can preserve independent copies of important records.

15. Intellectual property

Car Maintenance & Glovebox, including its software, design, text, graphics, icons, and built-in content, is owned by TaskDorm LLC and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, you are granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. These Terms do not transfer any ownership in the app to you.

The records, notes, photographs, and documents you enter remain yours. TaskDorm claims no ownership of your content and does not receive it.

16. Disclaimers

We develop this app carefully and want it to work well for you. We also need to be clear about what we can and cannot promise.

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects, that reminders will always be delivered, that stored documents will be current, valid, sufficient, or accepted by anyone, or that the app will meet every requirement you have for it.

To the extent permitted by law, we make no guarantee regarding resale value, reimbursement, warranty coverage, insurance coverage, claim outcomes, roadworthiness, or compliance with any legal or regulatory requirement.

17. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, TaskDorm LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including a missed service, a lapsed registration or inspection, a denied claim, a repair cost, a lost sale, or a reduced resale price. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Some of these limitations may not apply to you. Many countries, states, and provinces give consumers rights that cannot be waived or limited by an agreement of this kind, including statutory guarantees in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, and elsewhere. Nothing in these Terms removes or reduces any right you have that cannot lawfully be removed or reduced, and nothing here excludes or limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where the law does not permit that exclusion.

If a court finds any part of this section unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.

18. Unlawful use and misrepresentation

You may not use the app unlawfully or use exported records to misrepresent a vehicle’s history, condition, ownership, maintenance, insurance, inspection status, registration, warranty coverage, or value.

Nothing in this section limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.

19. Termination and discontinuation

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device. Deleting the app removes its locally stored records and files from that device.

We may stop distributing or updating the app. We may also terminate the license granted under these Terms if you materially breach them or use the app unlawfully, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, unlawful use and misrepresentation, and governing law — continue to apply after these Terms end.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version appears in the app and on the TaskDorm website with its Last Updated date. Where a change is significant, we will indicate it in the app or in release information.

If you continue to use the app after an updated version takes effect, the updated Terms apply to your use. If you do not accept the updated Terms, please stop using the app.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country or region where you live, and it does not affect any right you have to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right.

22. Apple Standard End User License Agreement

Your license to use Car Maintenance & Glovebox is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement for apps distributed through the App Store.

These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. If these Terms conflict with Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement on a matter governed by that agreement, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement controls.
