Why it exists
A car maintenance tracker built for real vehicle records
Service records live in a folder, a shoebox, an email, and a shop’s system you cannot see. When the next oil change is due, or a buyer asks what you have done to the car, the answer is scattered. This app gives every vehicle one place to keep it.
One vehicle or a whole household
Keep a car, a truck, a motorcycle, and a partner’s vehicle side by side, each with its own history and documents.
Your entries, not a data feed
You enter what happened. Nothing is guessed, imported, or inferred from a service the app has no connection to.
Ready when someone asks
Export a clean record when you sell, hand a vehicle over, or simply want to remember what was done and when.
Reminders
Oil-change and mileage maintenance reminders
Set a reminder by date, by mileage, or by both, and the app tells you which one comes first. Registration, inspection, and insurance dates sit alongside oil changes, brakes, and tyre rotations, so the whole picture is in one list.
Date reminders for registration renewal, inspections, and insurance dates.
Mileage reminders measured against the odometer reading you last entered.
Built-in maintenance categories with editable intervals you can match to your own vehicle.
The app cannot read your odometer, so a distance reminder is only as current as your last reading.
Service history
Keep your car service history in one place
Every service gets a date, a category, a shop, a cost, and room for notes and attachments. Over time that becomes a vehicle service log you can actually use, whether you are checking what was done last spring or handing the car to someone else.
A full history per vehicle, newest first, with costs and the shop that did the work.
Odometer history, so mileage is recorded rather than remembered.
Receipts and vehicle documents attached to the service they belong to.
Warranty records kept with the vehicle they cover.
CSV and PDF exports, plus a resale packet that presents your own records in order.

The Glovebox
A private digital Glovebox for your vehicle
Insurance, registration, inspection, roadside membership, and warranties, kept per vehicle on your own device. Sensitive identifiers such as policy and registration numbers stay masked until you choose to reveal them.
Insurer, policy number, coverage dates, agent, and claims contact.
Registration and inspection records, with the documents that go with them.
Roadside assistance provider, membership number, and phone number.
Photos and PDFs stored in the app’s private storage on your device.
A saved copy is a convenience copy. Keep your original documents and carry whatever your jurisdiction requires.

Accident Information
The details you saved, ready at a difficult moment
Accident Information gathers what you already entered into one screen, so you are not searching through a glovebox at the roadside. That is the entire function of the feature.
Shows only what you entered. If a field is blank or out of date, that is what it shows.
Phone numbers are ordinary tap-to-call links. A call is placed only when you tap one.
It does not contact anyone automatically, notify your insurer, or file a claim.
It uploads nothing and transmits nothing.
It is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact emergency services directly.

Questions
Common questions
What does a car maintenance tracker do?
It keeps a record of what you have done to a vehicle and what is coming up next. In this app that means service history with dates, costs, and shops, odometer readings over time, reminders by date and mileage, and the receipts, warranties, and documents that go with them.
Can I track maintenance by both date and mileage?
Yes. A reminder can be set by date, by mileage, or by both, and the app tells you whichever falls due first. Mileage reminders are measured against the odometer reading you last entered.
Can I keep my car service history and receipts together?
Yes. A receipt photo or PDF is attached to the service record it belongs to, so the cost, the shop, the date, and the paperwork stay in one place instead of in a folder somewhere else.
What can I store in the digital Glovebox?
Insurance details, registration, inspection records, roadside assistance membership, and warranties, along with photos and PDFs of the documents themselves. Sensitive identifiers such as policy and registration numbers stay masked until you choose to reveal them.
Does the app connect to my car or read my odometer?
No. The app has no connection to your vehicle. It does not read diagnostic codes, decode VINs, check recalls, or read your odometer. You enter mileage yourself, and distance-based reminders are measured against that last reading.
Are my vehicle records uploaded to TaskDorm?
No. Records are stored in the app’s private storage on your iPhone or iPad. TaskDorm does not receive or store them on its servers, there is no account, and there is no automatic synchronisation. Anything leaves the app only when you export, back up, or share it yourself.
Is Car Maintenance & Glovebox a subscription?
No. The app is free to download and offers one optional one-time purchase, the Lifetime Unlock, which opens the full app. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no free trial that converts into a payment.
Does the app work on both iPhone and iPad?
Can I back up or export my records?
Yes. You can export service history as CSV, produce PDF reports and a resale packet, and create a manual backup file that you save where you choose. Restoring a backup replaces the data currently in the app after you confirm it.
Is Accident Information an emergency service?
No. Accident Information only displays details you already saved so you can find them quickly. It does not contact anyone automatically, does not notify your insurer, does not file a claim, and is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact emergency services directly.
Vehicle maintenance, finally organized.
